Maintaining the correct pH balance is essential for clean, comfortable hot tub water. Our pH Increase (1KG) treatment is designed to safely raise pH levels when water becomes too acidic.
If spa water pH drops below the recommended range, it can cause irritation to skin and eyes while also damaging metal components inside your hot tub system, such as steps or the heating system. Low pH may even affect how well chlorine sanitises the water.
Our pH increase solution helps restore the ideal pH balance between 7.2 and 7.6, ensuring water remains comfortable, clear and safe to use. Balanced water also allows your sanitising chemicals to work more effectively.
At Hot Tub Stores UK, we recommend regular water testing using our 3 Way Test Strips. If levels are low, simply add 10g of pH increase per 1,000 litres of water inside your tube, bringing the water back into the correct range and keeping your spa performing perfectly.

What's Included
Test Your Water Regularly
We recommend testing your spa water daily, or as close to this as possible using our 3 Way Test Strips. If pH falls below 7.2, pH Increase helps restore proper balance quickly and easily.
Correct Low pH Levels
Low pH water can cause skin irritation and damage metal components inside your spa. Using pH Increase restores the correct level, helping protect both bathers and equipment.
Pre-Dissolve Before Adding
Always dissolve the recommended amount of pH Increase in a clean plastic bucket of water first. This ensures the treatment distributes evenly through your hot tub or swim spa.
Add While Circulation Runs
When adding the dissolved solution, ensure the circulation system is running. Slowly pour the mixture near the return inlet so the product spreads evenly throughout the water.
Repeat Until Balanced
If water remains below the ideal range, repeat dosing gradually until the pH level reaches approximately 7.4, ensuring balanced and comfortable spa water.
Safety Notes
Never mix pH Increase with other chemicals. Always add product to water, not water to product. Handle in a ventilated area, wash hands after use, and store safely in a cool, dry place.
